Experience the Magic of Dance in Chico!
Friday show starts @ 6pm
Friends of the Chico Community Ballet, Inc. proudly presents the 34th annual Keeping Dance Alive! 2026, an exciting spring repertory dance concert celebrating the power of movement, storytelling, and artistic collaboration.
Performances will be held at the Center for the Arts, 1475 East Avenue, Chico. Performances on Friday, April 17 at 6:00 PM and Saturday, April 18 at 6:00 PM, feature the full repertory concert, and present a one-act Alice in Wonderland, bringing Lewis Carroll’s beloved tale to life through imaginative choreography, vibrant characters, and enchanting theatrical design. Audiences will journey with Alice as she encounters the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare and the Queen of Hearts entering a whimsical world beyond imagination.
A special Saturday 1 PM matinee is a perfect family-friendly opportunity to enjoy Alice in Wonderland as a stand-alone performance at an accessible ticket price of $10 for all seats.
This year’s full concert on Friday/Saturday nights offers audiences a rich and dynamic program that blends classical ballet, contemporary works, Flamenco, Tap, Hip-Hop and Jazz Funk, all original choreography by local artists, along with a special video presentation created with CCB dancers filmed at the Chico Air Museum. The evening performances highlight the versatility and artistry of Chico Community Ballet dancers and guest across multiple styles and age levels.
We hope you will bring your whole family and join us for this magical event.
